This new revision of DD-WRT brings back the nmbd daemon for WRT160NL which is a Samba service that provides NetBIOS-to-IP-address name mapping of a TCP/IP network. The new test build of DD-WRT v24-sp2 revision 18687 has been uploaded to the FTP server for immediate download. It looks like iPhone tethering for 8MB flash routers is not looking promising when it comes to DD-WRT. If you plan on using this feature make sure you don’t update past r20119, which is the latest build supporting iPhone tethering. IPhone tethering was removed for WRT160NL starting with r20453.
